My Next Adventure!

Hello my lovelies!

Bet you’ve been wondering where the hell I’ve been since Victor’s release? Well, your amazing author friend has been writing. I’m currently 34K words into the next book in the Promiscus Guardians Series, and I’m really excited to finally start talking about it.

First, the cover:

It’s done! But you won’t get to see it until I get to 50K words! That’s the deal: I write, you wait.

Second, the writing:

It’s been flowing out of me, but like with everything else, it gets knocked to the side when those shrill screams of children fighting echoes loudly through my living room. It’s a moment I dread every time I start to write.

My other obstacle is just writing. I have a tendency to want to reread everything I just wrote, which is fine…until I’m rereading the entire 100 plus pages that I wrote and forgetting that I still have to write the rest of the damn book before I get edit-heavy on it.

So then I try to write again, and everything else in my life goes crazy, because apparently I’m the only person that can do things and keep the house livable…and I end up a little bit crazy by the end of the day as a result.

Finally, the end?

It’s still getting there, but with my ability to write fast, I doubt it will be terribly long before you see the cover reveal. I’ll be hosting a few giveaways around that time, so stay tuned. If I haven’t lost my mind entirely, I might even give away some really, really cool stuff. Someone mentioned Bernie shirts; the ones featured in the book. I may get something interesting together like that.

I will leave you here with an excerpt from the story, because I’m awesome like that. Check out my other books here, and make sure to follow me on my author page!

“Victor is, and always has been, a man that drives a person to their best possible self. While he may seem unrelenting, sometimes unforgiving when it comes to training, he is the best possible tutor. And though we have had our disagreements, Victor remained faithfully there for me over the years,” Lucas finally said, face becoming softer. It was gorgeous: the small tilt in his lips as he said this.

“I have no idea how anyone could ever disagree with you,” I retorted, monotone. “Did he ever lose his angel temper with you? More importantly, was he a spanker?”

Lucas had the decency to look disgusted, and Pavel almost lost his footing when he very nearly collapsed into laughter.

“Are you a child?” Lucas sneered.

“No,” I replied, snickering. “I just wondered what method of parenting he used on you. Just answer the question, Lucas. It was you who brought it all up.”

Lucas sighed shortly. “Victor’s method of punishment was far worse, in my opinion, to any method used currently.”

I was tremendously titillated now. Both Pavel and I joined arms and stared at him with happy, non-blinking expressions. If we had tails, they would have frozen, then wagged, then froze again. Lucas looked completely put out, but by the laxness of his jaw, I knew he’d give me what I wanted.

“If I misbehaved, I was forced to attend gatherings with numerous amounts of women, most of which never ceased pestering me,” he finally replied begrudgingly.

I bit my lower lip, eyes and nose burning as I attempted to keep from laughing. It was too much. Both Blondie and I held each other for long minutes as we laughed, garnering the other three’s attention with our hysterics.

“Women were your punishment? He’s definitely a clever bastard. Victor just earned my seal of approval with that move,” I said, admiration distinctly in my expression.

“Trust me, moya solnishka, never ever piss off the boss,” he said, referring to Victor. His eyes narrowed violently, yet his smile was unfortunately just as alluring. “His punishments are especially designed to break anyone that may feel the need to go against him.”

Lucas scoffed lightly. “Pavel is thoroughly experienced with Victor’s discipline measures,” he stated, smile outdoing the wickedness of Pavel’s and making the pair of us shudder. “His punishment of last required him to investigate a rather flashy establishment—”

Pavel shook his head, clamping his hands over my ears. I giggled as the three others watched us, no longer walking to favor listening on the very interesting conversation between me and the boys. There was a cocky smile on Sadin’s face, but I ignored it as I was held hostage against my dirty Russian’s firm body.

Lucas pulled me from Pavel, pressing his lips to my ear and whispering, “He was asked to go undercover at a homosexual club called Banging Bottoms.

“You said it!” Blondie growled, deflating instantly with his shoulders dropping and eyes falling to the floor.

I laughed heartily. “I bet you fit right in.”

Blondie groaned, glaring over me towards Lucas. “You’re a right bastard.”

“I merely offered Izzy invaluable anecdotes to express your own claims of Victor,” Lucas returned, holding me against him.

“What did you wear?” I asked Blondie, breaking between the boys with my raspy voice, barely able to keep my amusement inside.

Wicked Wednesday

Hello there romanciteers! I come with a special insight to my upcoming novel, Victor, first book in the companion series called, Guardians In Love.

As I am the super coolest author ever, I’ve brought a special excerpt for you today containing a little insight to the man called Victor, and what exactly you can expect from him.

You’ve already met our heroine, somewhat.

She’s a bit…clumsy.

So, what should you expect our of her love interest? Well, let’s let this excerpt do the talking.

“In the bedroom, too?” I asked in disbelief, ignoring the small pique of interest at the very thought of Victor and I sharing a room.

I was not excited.

My hands felt clammy as I wiped them on my leggings, desire igniting inside of me with the wafting of the strong smell of citrus. Victor’s enchanting sky-blue eyes watched me, almost as if they could see through me. It made my heart rate become erratic. I swallowed around the sudden yearning that was sprouting inside of me with the dizzying swirl of emotion.

Illuminated, Victor’s eyes harbored just as much burning emotion as my own. He was close enough to kiss again, and I wanted to. Just to lean forward the few inches between and press my lips against his.My breathing grew labored as Victor moved closer, his large body obstructing my view and becoming the only thing I could effectively look at.

“Especially in the bedroom,” he said deeply. “You are at your most vulnerable here.”

That statement couldn’t ring any truer. Being here alone with Victor put me in an incredibly vulnerable state. However, none of that had any relation to Pius. It was entirely Victor’s doing.

The flicker in his eyes was raw and overt. Wrapped entirely in muscle, Victor was formidable man—power-infused and authoritative. But nothing about him elicited fear in me. The opposite, actually. Everything about him triggered a desperation to throw myself into his arms and taste his lips like a woman starved. To feel every powerful curve of flesh on his body. To discover for myself definitively what these feelings I had for him were; the impossible emotions that had continued to blossom inside me, filling every space and leaving nothing untouched.

It was impossible to do that when the consequences of those actions could very well lead to tragedy. So I steeled myself against the desire to lean forward.

I shook my head, rejecting his statement yet again with my firm resolve not to be talked into something that I didn’t want to do. “I would prefer to have my own room,” I said simply, glancing away to keep from being pulled once more into the strong current of his gaze. “Even if it’s next to yours, that would be better than having to share one.”

You can reclaim me anytime…oh, sorry, forgot you guys were there. Delicious man-muscles took my focus for a second. Anyway, this has been an exclusive look. Victor will be coming soon, and hopefully this has excited some of you to read it!

Until next time!

Getting Hot Over Here

Well, just finished up a major love scene. Hot. Need a drink, or a shower–whatever I can reach first. And I’m proud to announce that I’m getting close to the finish line!

After figuring their shit out, it’s finally time to start wrapping up plot points. Pretty soon, I’ll be revealing the cover and the hunk of choice with it. I’m super excited to finally show off my mad cover skills, ya’ll. And I promise abs…really good, smexy, hot, entirely delicious abs that we all love, because let’s face it, that’s what it’s all about, no?

And as I get nearer and nearer to finishing the first draft, I find myself wondering how I managed to do it in under two weeks. Honestly, most of those two weeks were a blur. One big F’ing blur. I’m pretty sure after I finish this book, I’m taking a semi-vacation to focus on school and the children, because I’ve neglected nearly all of my family to write. True story.

A little excerpt to end my little post here. Meet our newest heroine, Lilly Hughes.

I watched my instructor as he pulled away and set off down the large, open hallway of the facility. His body was impeccable—toned, slender, and angular—and if he wasn’t such a bastard all the time, I might have fallen in love with him. But that was neither here nor there. I couldn’t fall in love. I had to secure a position on the dream team before I could even think about boys.

My friend, Malakai, would say that I’m a workaholic, too focused on the job to think about anything—including the poor state of my hair and nails—but I couldn’t be bothered by it. Immediately after school, I had taken a position with the Guardians. I trained arduously every day in the last three years, and I even spent what little free time I did have honing any skills that were overshadowed by my genetic predisposition: deadly clumsiness. An inherent trait that was my biggest adversary in my pursuit of the dream team.

I curled my hands into fists, cursing underneath my breath as I headed back the way I came. My auburn hair flew into my face, effectively destroying my composure for a moment while I swatted at it and blew the tickly sensation away. Finally, when my hair remained rebellious, I used both hands to tear the silky auburn tendrils away as if they burned. And then an instant later, my own foot took me to the floor, knees colliding with a loud thump as I collapsed into a mess of limbs to the hard marble surface.

I managed to recover fairly quickly, but still received a few bouts of laughter from the surrounding Guardians that were passing through that particular hallway towards whatever class or lesson they were due for.

“Heya Lilly,” someone called after I spat out a stray hair that had somehow managed to get lodged inside my mouth and wiped the floor bits from my training pants. “Whoa, you looked pissed.”

I eyed my tall friend. He was about eight-foot-five, which dwarfed my five-foot-eight despite it being well above average for a witch. I was the tallest in my class, until I came to this compound that is. And the dude was part giant. It’s not really his fault that his mother was a giant and his father had a thing for tall women.

His slender figure loomed over me, but I never felt any fear around Malakai. He was a big teddy bear—harmless to anyone that knew him. The light brown eyes paired with his sandy locks only added more depth to his sweet boy vibe. He wouldn’t hurt a fly, but he was immensely talented and could easily hurt a demon or Dark creature in any given situation. He was two years behind me, having been scouted by our very own Belfair for the Guardians. He was due to join his own Guardian team soon, and I couldn’t find it in myself to be bitter about it. If anyone deserved it, Malakai did.

“Hey Malakai,” I greeted, nodding my head at him and continuing my trek towards my room.

I had spent the entire afternoon training. I was still clumsy, as Belfair so sweetly reminded me three times during our session. But I was talented with my magic—top of the class. It still meant very little when I had no team to call my own.

I had gotten myself into a bit of hot water last month during our practical. But it wasn’t my fault that Ed Lampert got in between me and the fireball I was sending at the target, and I just so happened to burn both his eyebrows and hair magically, causing it to take three weeks to start to grow back. Even with the help of magical solvents. Ed had ugly ass boyband hair, and he was a bastard that liked to perve on the girls in class.

The jerk had it coming.

Malakai trailed beside me, glancing a few times at me as I mumbled underneath my breath about my horrible luck with perves. “Want to talk about it?”

“What’s there to talk about, Malakai? I fucked up. I’m a fuck up, just like my dad. Dad never made it to a team. Just got a desk, a plastic stapler, and a whole lot of paperwork. What if they send me to a desk? What the hell am I going to do with myself if I’m glued to a chair all day?” I ranted with the wave of my arms.

Malakai shook his head sheepishly. “You won’t, Lils. There’s no way they’d put you behind a desk with a talent like yours.”

“Talent means nothing when you have a knack for making mistakes and stumbling over your own feet, Malakai,” I retorted with a small, reproachful expression.

“Did they reject your application again?” he asked, stabbing painfully at raw wounds.

I groaned, smacking my head once, then again for emphasis. “Yes. Again. I don’t know why I bother.”

“Because you’re meant to be on their team,” Malakai surmised firmly. His face was hard to look at from this angle, so I just offered his lithe torso a grim look before turning the corner into a corridor.

Our heroine is a bit of a clumsy-mumsy. It’s one of her endearing qualities. But thankfully, she’s one badass chick with a katana! Hopefully this gets you all a bit more excited about the new story coming. There’s going to be a lot of action and a whole lot more intrigue with the story line.

Cover reveal coming soon!!

Until next time….go out there and write, you crazy kids!

Exclusive on Guardians in Love!

Fellow romanciteers! I greet and salute you from a wide drool patch on my desk. Today, I hit fifty-thousand words in my new story, the companion series called Guardians in Love coming this year, sometime in late spring or early summer.

Here’s the low-down: I’ve been working my little patootie off since just before Metamorphosis was released on Jan. 9th. As a result, I’m a good bit into the newest story and can start to share some great new things coming your way.

Guardians in Love is a companion series that starts just at the beginning of the second book in the Promiscus Guardians series. It runs alongside it, and while it could be read as a stand-alone, it is best read after you’ve read the second book, Metamorphosis, as a way to add to the original story line.

While I am not ready to release who is featured (stay tuned for the cover reveal when I get about three-fourths finished with the first draft), I will say that this little hot number will appeal to many of the current fans of my main series.

Here are a few excerpts of who you’re going to see:

“Bernard,” the man said, offering me his hand again. “And that there is Carl, my brother, and the two sitting over there are Adan and Natalie.” I nodded towards them, smiling at Adan.

The heavily muscled Spaniard, which had worn combat-ready attire, came forward and greeted me with small kiss to my hand. Bernard pouted childishly as soon as Adan finished his greeting.

“Why does Adan get to kiss her and I don’t?!” he complained, puckering out his lower lip in a cute act that might have another woman fooled, but sadly for this cowboy, I wasn’t so easily deceived.

“His intentions are purely out of greeting.”

Fan favorite, Bernard Johnson, known to main character Izzy as Bernie, will be featured.

eat a dick

Another fan favorite, Pavel Volkov, also known as Blondie, meets our main heroine as well:

“Pavel Volkov? As in the same Pavel who is on Lucas Easton’s team?!” I nearly yelled. I caught myself, slapping a hand over my mouth in my embarrassment.

The tall, I’m guessing around six-foot-two, blonde crossed his arms with a sensual lift in his lips. “Yes? Have we met?”

“No…but we wanted to—I mean, me—me wanted to. Uh, sorry, I mean…I’ve been wanting to meet you,” I babbled as my face grew hotter and hotter with the exchange.

“Is that right?” he asked rhetorically, sexy grin intensifying with every word out of my mouth.

I’m really excited to be shedding a little light on the new book, and you MUST stay tuned for the cover release…I intend to bring lots of chocolate to lure the hungry readers out.

Until next time!
